Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Review

Ever been out for a meal with your baby and seen one of those wooden high chairs and be concerned that they might slip down through them? Or thought “I wish they had a tray on the high chair”? Well now you can simply bring along your own seat for your baby!

Yes, this may seem like an ad for the booster seat but I promise you it isn’t. We just bought it as we thought we would find it useful for the reasons mentioned above. It just so happens that it’s so good I’m giving it five out of five Dads.

Let me take you through my thoughts on it…

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – The Basics

You can set it on the floor too
You can set it on the floor too

This booster seat is one that you can attach to almost every kind of chair to enable your baby to sit at the table to eat with you.

To attach it to the chairs there are two adjustable straps, one that goes under the seat and one that goes around the back of the seat. Tighten both straps and you have a very secure seat.

Then you put your baby in and strap them in place and you can then attach the tray.

The good thing is that you can change the height of the seat too. It has three different heights that you can adjust it to also. Either flat or at two different raised heights.

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Usability 5/5

I struggle to see how this could be any easier to use to be honest.

As mentioned, two straps attach the booster seat to a chair and the tray simply clips into place. It really couldn’t be much simpler to use.

In fact, sometimes the only challenge comes from the different types of chairs and having to reach under the chair to pass the straps across in order to clip them together. Other than that it’s incredibly easy to use.

It’s also nice and simple to clean with it being plastic.

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Convenience 5/5

It can attach to most chairs

The whole premise of this chair is that it’s convenient, so I’m sure it can’t come at that much of a surprise that I’ve given it five out of five.

Firstly it’s portable. It folds down pretty small and you can use the straps to help you carry it in your hand or over your shoulder.

You can attach it to almost any chair very quickly (it takes just a couple of minutes to have it set up with your baby in there).

The height adjusts (we’ve used it on the floor in the park before now) and the tray adjusts too to allow for a growing child. In fact it will still fit a child up to approximately the age of three.

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Quality 4/5

I’m being harsh in marking it down perhaps but let me explain.

The actual materials themselves are all of good quality. The clips, straps and seat/tray unit all feels sound and solid. I’ve no issues in that.

The one niggle for me is when you are trying to adjust the height of the seat. To do this you have to push a button. Sadly the button is a bit awkward and at times you have to wiggle the lets at the same time as pushing the button to get it to work. Yet it does work, you just have to wiggle the legs.

That’s the only flaw I can see in the quality. Other than that, which is a niggle, it’s all great in terms of quality. I’ve no safety concerns in sitting my son in the seat at all.

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Value 5/5

At only £19.99 on Amazon it’s not too expensive really. Given that we use it most times when we eat out with N as it’s better than most high chairs for him, plus the excellent quality and ease of use, I can’t complain about the price at all.

It’s great value for money in my opinion.

Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat – Summary

It collapses to a small size
It collapses to a small size

I really struggle to fault this booster seat beyond the awkward button. It’s so handy whenever you’re out, so much so you can use it on the ground if you’re in the park.

The quality of great, it’s flexible and adaptable and the value of it is great.

If you buy this you will not regret it.

Have you bought one? What do you think to it?
